The Lotus Herd is dedicated to Albin Treil

When I was 18, my Father Albin Treil gave my siblings and I a sum of money that I did not use until I went through a big life changing event in 2014 that allowed me to reconsider why I was here and what would give meaning to my life. Following my deep love for animals I decided to take the plunge and start rescuing horses and showering them with kindness.

Without my Dad’s gift I would have never taken the risk as I did not want these beautiful creatures to get failed again. My father was the embodiment of kindness, he never told me to be kind but he did not need to, he modeled it all his life and I know how much I benefited from it. His ability to get the big picture allowed him to have compassion and not judge, what a gift this has been.

Because my non profit is all about kindness to the animals and to the people, I am dedicating this project to him so that his kindness can still flow through what we do. Exactly two days after the Lotus Herd got approved as non profit, my father passed away in France, I will take it as a sign that it is time to carry on spreading kindness around. In a world where you can be anything, be kind.
